EVENTS as COVID-19 begins to ease up!

Regrettably due to the Covid-19 threat

  • we have suspended most of our activities until further notice,

  • However, when restrictions are eased again and with the number of members who are double vaccinated and boosted, we will begin to meet again for socially distanced breakfasts and, hopefully, MoK meetings.

  • We are also endeavouring to remain in contact with our whole membership  through Zoom meetings. We have weekly sessions to discuss issues as they arise or to simply share our week's events.

  • There is a small group who meet on Monday bi-weekly to discuss Current Events. And another group, who also convene bi-weekly on the alternate Monday and use a social game that could be played by two or more participants online.

However, if these were normal times, we would also have regular events during the month and:

  • meet every first and third [and if lucky, fifth] Thursday for breakfast at 8:30am at the Gourmet restaurant on Highway 7 in Carleton Place.

  • meet every second and fourth Thursday in the Mill of Kintail Gatehouse meeting room from 9am-12pm.

  • have our Social Play days on the first Monday and the third Wednesday of the month from 1pm-4pm.

  • go on field trips to the theatre or the movies.

We have suspended regular days at the Appleton workshop but we will open it by appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will be limiting the number of workers in the shop so as to live within the social distancing parameters. Please see the workshop schedule and sign-up page in the Members' Section. [click here]
